The Roots of Harvest Fest

Rita & Bob Farmer
The story of The Farm began in 1985 when two pairs of inseparable companions, the Farmers and the Lovings, purchased these sixty acres to weave their lives together. In the decades since, trails have been carved and named through the woods, the quiet ponds have hosted countless afternoons of fishing and swimming, and the glow of evening bonfires has illuminated a legacy of shared laughter and local lore.
Â
Today, the property remains in the hands of those original families' heirs. Scott and Melissa Farmer stepped into their roles as stewards in 2023, establishing their own permanent home on the grounds. The following year, their daughter Jordan established her own homestead nearby, raising her family with the tradition of living off the land. Her young sons now spend their days caring for their animals, playing from sun up to sun down and walking over to "Mia and Pepa's" for waffles.
Â
The Farm continues to be a welcoming sanctuary for friends both old and new. Most of all, the families will always take great pride in finding ways to honor The Farm's history and celebrate it's new growth.
